Psoas Muscle + Fertility
There is so much to say about a healthy psoas muscle. It is located behind the abdominal muscles deep in our core. It spans from the solar plexus to the upper leg which is what allows us to lift our thigh and walk. Also, it goes right over our ovaries. That is why we are focusing on this muscle in fertility yoga.
After Workout Fertility Yoga Stretch
As a fertility yoga teacher, I do believe in taking it easy while you are trying to conceive IF you have been struggling. Fertility doctors say to cut out the high-intensity workouts such as spinning, hot yoga, running, and HIIT. We don't want to cause our body to overheat. However, as an athlete my whole life, I also believe in knowing your body. If you are someone that has been a runner for a long time, still run, but no need to train for a marathon during this time. If you can hold a conversation during your workout without being short of breath, I feel you are good to go. My opinion.
